Video Marketing Modules

Like an interview with Steven Spielberg about his new movie gives the audience an insight into why he directed or produced the film the way he did, an Author Interview gives the readers a similar insight. It allows your potential audience to see inside your mind as an author and the paths you wanted your characters to take or the reasons why you developed the book the way you did.

If you are serious about selling your book then an Author Interview is a must, but please note that getting a friend to put a camera in front of you and chatting for 5 minutes is not the preferred option.

Direct Solicitation of Book Reviews and Testimonials

10 copies of your publication will be needed along with the secured PDF file to send to reviewers. Once you have these reviews it is recommended that they are added to your website, video, book cover for future reprints and any other book marketing material you have produced.

Testimonials from your readers are a must. It is suggested that you produce business cards or bookmarks with your website address, Facebook and/or email so that readers can get in touch and provide feedback that you can use to help promote the book.

Online Selling Channels

As a client of Love of Books your publication already features for free on our sales page, following professional editing and presentation guidelines. This module involves the task of listing your publication on key online book selling websites within Australia. These include, but are not exclusive to Fishpond, Redhen, Seek Books, Australian Books Online, Shearers Bookshop, Wheelers, Collins Bookshop and the Love of Books Club website.

Once the book is online and one of the websites receives an order, we receive an email alerting us to the order and process and distribute the order as requested.

The company who takes the order will then deduct 40% from the RRP for their fees and send the balance to Love of Books where we deduct 20% from the RRP for our administration fees. The balance is then paid to the authors. We require holding stock to operate this option (10 copies initially). It is imperative that this module is considered as the more presence your book has online the higher the chances of sale. All online listings should be featured on your website and if purchased through Love of Books, we will manage this for you.
