Book Printing Services

Book Printing Prices

Our book printing prices are very affordable. We can print in both forms of book printing, short run digital book printing and large quantity digital book printing.Have you considered having your book transformed into a digital e-book? Ask us about this service! Offset book printing is a great option for the budget minded as you always pay less per book printed in larger quantities.

Booklet Printing

Booklet printing is done for up to 60 pages printed. A booklet is saddle stitched – meaning the book is bound by staples in the spine.

Print on Demand Books (POD)

Our Print on Demand book service enables you to print only the number of books that you need. As a general guide, if you print 100 books or more, the price is cheaper per unit than if you print less than this amount.

Print on demand is usually done on a digital printer.For a printer to set up your file ready for printing… it takes skill and time. The file is manually programmed into the digital machine. The process can take several hours. This is why it costs more to print only a few books as the cost of the set up is added to the price of the books. The set up cost is the same for a few books or max books.  Feel free to ask us more!

Print Ready Files Printing

The term ‘print ready file’ simply means that your book file has gone through the process of page layout and formatting. The manuscript has been edited, proofread, formatted and is ready for printing !

ISBN, Barcode & CiP Registration

Have you noticed that books have an ISBN number? (International Standard Book Number). This number identifies an author’s work and is required by booksellers, wholesalers and distributors. Our publishing packages take care of all this for you. CiP stands for catalogue in publishing.

The ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a 13-digit number that uniquely identifies books and book-like products published internationally. Each number identifies a unique edition of a publication, from one specific publisher, allowing for more efficient marketing of products by booksellers, libraries, universities, wholesalers and distributors.

An ISBN number and bar code is required to sell your book in stores. Each book title must have its own ISBN number. A copy of your printed book must also be deposited in State and National libraries relevant to your state or territory.  The Australian ISBN Agency assigns ISBNs in Australia exclusively.

Thorpe-Bowker acquired the Australian ISBN Agency in 1997, primarily to ensure the continuance of a resource of Australian books and publishers (Australian Books in Print) that would remain as comprehensive as possible.

Cataloguing-in-Publication (CiP) is a free service with no legal obligation operated by the National Library of Australia to provide a catalogue record for a publication before it is published. The CiP entry includes information such as title, author, ISBN, Dewey Decimal classification notation (DDC) and subject headings. This information is put online, making it widely searchable via internet search engines or library databases which are also beneficial for the author.

Libraries and the bookselling sector use this information to select and place advance orders for forthcoming publications. This procedure usually takes 10 working days depending on the number of applications awaiting processing.

A valid Australian ISBN is required before proceeding with a CIP entry.

The Cataloguing in Publication (CiP) program covers new and revised editions of works published in Australia, relevant to a wide audience with substantial textual information content; likely to be acquired and made available by Australian libraries.

A BARCODE is an optical machine-readable form of information on a scannable, visual surface, which shows data about the object to which it is attached.  The barcode is read by using a special scanner that reads the information directly off it. The information is then transmitted into a database where it can be logged and tracked.

The BowkerLink™ system provides publishers with an automated tool to update or add to their listings in Bowker’s Global Books In Print database. Publishers may also view and update their publisher contact information.

Australian and New Zealand data appears in the Global Books in Print online and CD-Rom products. Your new book will be available for sale in thousands of bookstores world-wide. Data on Australian-published and New Zealand-published titles also appears in Australian Books in Print and New Zealand Books in Print, respectively.

How the editing process works… firstly, your editor will consult with you to ensure they understand editing specifics (eg. American or English spelling, the message/moral etc). On completion of chapters, the editor will email you in sections for you to approve. This same process works for book and website design.
