Sure, they can get your book listed on Amazon and other such popular sites. The fact is anyone can sign up to list their title on Amazon.com; you don't need to be a company, business or publisher or pay a fortune for the privilege.
OK, now available and at what cost? What will you end up with in your pocket from sales of your book once those hefty Amazon fees come out?
Another one for you- What about the expensive marketing so called media kits offering to advertise your book to news papers and write you a fancy letter.
Well with a little advice, a few tricky tools and a little of your time you can save yourself a packet here on marketing too. I am going to do my own for a song. Yes a a mere song. I had a little support and push in the right direction of course, but hey, money is money. I am doing this to make money for me. I am marketing my own book.
What about this one- We will promote your book to 500 bookstores Australia wide another example. Yeah, well I know many Authors who got sucked in with that one and did not sell a single book.

Some people say they need a small fortune to publish their book
Well being a self-publisher you don’t need a lot of money. Just a little support from the right people and of course a true desire to make your dream of becoming a published author a reality!
Nothing like the feeling of finally seeing that hot little book in your hot little hands.
If you use mainstream distribution channels you will be paying a large fee for their service also.
I’m not trying to put you off mainstream distribution. If you are not a sales person it could be an option.
What about those free ISBN numbers publishing companies offer?
Well, I can tell you some stories about that. You really need your own ISBN so if you are offered a free ISBN ask "Is it my very own?"
Publishing companies that can offer support, advice, service and provide you with quality printing and workmanship of your book is your answer.
A true publishing company will give you enough marketing advice and tips to sit you on the right track with your book marketing.
