What is The difference between Love of Books and a traditional publisher?
When you print with Love of Books you are the self publisher. For the most part, you determine how successful your book becomes by deciding how much effort and money you want to invest into your book. In other words, you have full control on your own success. You keep ALL the profits minus your cost.
The fact is, with traditional publishers, 99% of manuscripts are rejected. What's worse is that out of the 1% or so that is actually accepted, most of the books are not given a whole lot of attention to market them (in fact, publishers lose money on most books). So chances are your efforts will not be rewarded, considering you will only get a small royalty. Even if you get a bestseller, the publisher will keep most of the profits.

Do you think a Self-Publishing Author can do a comparable job to a Publisher?
I think a self-publisher can do at least as good a job, if not better than a publisher in virtually all aspects – if they’re willing to work hard. Because they have the luxury of being able to focus on their one book, which a publisher can’t, they can definitely do a better job in the marketing and promotion arenas (and a focused effort is critical to a title’s success). Remember: No one will ever care about your book as much as you will.
Where can I sell my book?
Depending on your book, through your own efforts it can be sold to friends, family, your seminar attendees, your clients and other associates.

How long does Love of Books take to Self Publish a Book?
Once your book proof is approved by you, your new quality books will be completed in a matter of weeks.
As a general guide a manuscript will take approx. 4 weeks to complete the proofreading and editing stage.
It can then take a week up to a month to complete the other services required.
Once the files are print ready your books can be printed in a matter of weeks.

What guarantee do I have on the quality of my printed books?
All manufacturing is governed by strict quality control. If in the event that you are not satisfied with the quality of your delivered printed books we will gladly replace them.
That is how certain we are of our quality.
What is a Book Cover Design File?
A Book Cover Design File is put together especially measured out for the size of your book. The file includes the back cover, the front cover and the spine.
If you have an idea on what you would like on your cover simply talk to your self publishing consultant who will be more than happy to help you achieve your final Cover Design result.
Will I be shown as the publisher?

If I take the website option, does this include registering with Internet Service Provider?
No - this is a separate item. The monthly fee is also in need of paying. At present, we obtain this for 50 dollars for 12 months.
What payment methods are available with Love of Books?
You can choose to pay by credit card, cash, bank transfer or Paypal. We have 30% or 50% deposit payment choices. You can also pay upfront for a 5% discount! Credit cards payments also attract the 5% discount.
Do you offer a sales service or do you redirect sales to the author?
We find that redirecting to the author has the best possible impact.
Do you assist with creating the book cover blurb for the back cover?
Yes we can! We provide this service free of charge with all of our cover design offers.
Do you charge a fee for a consultation?
We provide a free consultation that will take one hour to complete, either in our Brisbane office, in your Brisbane home or over the telephone. The purpose of a consultation is to determine the services you require along with the costs.
You are under no obligation to continue.
If you do decide to accept any offer of services your interview will last longer than one hour. You will be assisted with directions, guidance and support along with an overview of the total process.
I know very little about self publishing. Can I do this?
Yes you can!

What program can I use to assemble my file in?
You can use Microsoft Word, Publisher or Indesign just to name a few. Prepare your file correctly using guides on our www.selfpublisher.net.au website.
Alternatively you can send us your files to complete the process for you at our current discount rate.
